Priveq Investment Fund III and Eqvitec Technology Fund III have agreed to invest in the world leading wood scanning corporation Innovativ Vision. Priveq and Eqvitec funds thereby become majority owners of Innovativ Vision.
“Innovativ Vision is a world leading company in a market that is growing rapidly. We have great expectations regarding the company’s future growth and profitability”, says Louise Nilsson, Investment Manager at Priveq Investment and future board member of Innovativ Vision.
Innovativ Vision develops and markets the WoodEye system, a scanner system for quality control in the wood working industry. Through scanning of the wood, at full production speed, the WoodEye system detects and analyses knots, knot holes, discolorations and most other defects in the wood. The WoodEye software analyses the results and calculates the optimal use of each piece of wood according to the predefined quality requested by the customer. By using WoodEye the production costs can be decreased and the quality and volume produced can be increased.
Strong growth potential
The current main owner of Innovativ Vision, Syntrans AB, will remain as a minority shareholder in the company, together with the CEO of the company, Leif Erlandsson. The capital provided by Priveq and Eqvitec funds strengthens the long term ownership of the company, and ensures that Innovativ Vision will be able to fully exploit the extensive growth potential of the market.
“2006 has been a very good year for Innovativ Vision. The company has strengthened its market position and with the new partners we will be able to position ourselves for further growth. We will strengthen and expand our organisation and continue to focus on further product development in order to secure our role as global market leader. With the combined industrial, technical, and financial knowledge of the new partners I’m confident that Innovativ Vision is well equipped to face the challenges ahead”, says Leif Erlandsson, CEO of Innovativ Vision, who together with the highly skilled professionals of the organisation has developed the company to a global market leader.
”We are very pleased with having Priveq and Eqvitec funds as investors in Innovativ Vision. When entering the next step in Innovativ Vision’s development, partners providing financial strength and previous experience from industrial expansion cases are essential for the future success of the company”, says Peter Viberg, CEO of Syntrans AB
